Am 25. April 2006 griffen die srilankische Marine, das Heer und die Luftwaffe die Eelamtamil-Siedlungen im Dorf Muthur East im Bezirk Thirukonamalai mehr als vier Stunden lang gemeinsam an. Am Ende des Angriffs wurden die zerquetschten Leichen von zw\u00f6lf Zivilisten gefunden. Unter den Opfern befanden sich drei Kinder im Alter von 4, 15 und 16 Jahren.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n

3000 Familien aus dem Osten von Muthur wurden nach diesem Angriff vertrieben, unter den Vertriebenen sind 25 Eelamtamilen, die durch den kombinierten Angriff aller drei Streitkr\u00e4fte verletzt wurden. Dies war der erste Luftangriff der srilankischen Luftwaffe seit der Unterzeichnung des Waffenstillstandsabkommens im Jahr 2002. SLMM und UNICEF  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Sri Lankan, Navy, Army and the Air Force staged a combined attack on the Eelamtamil settlements in the village of Muthur East in Thirukonamalai district for more than four hours on 25 April 2006. Crushed bodies of twelve civilians were found at the end of the attack. Among the victims were three children aged 4, 15 and 16.    3000 families from Muthur east displaced after this attack and among those who displaced are 25 Eelamtamils injured by the combined attack by all three forces. This was the first aerial bombing carried out by the Sri Lanka Air Force since the signing of the ceasefire agreement in 2002.
